I hadn’t planned on this post for a few months, but there’s no scheduled time to get sick. Just as I was re-stocking my “Sick Chest” my husband came down with a terrible cold. With the fluctuating weather that we’ve been having I’m surprised all of us haven’t come down with something.
I like to be prepared for everything, and one way that I prepare for cold and flu season is to keep a well stocked chest of supplies that we may need, should someone in my family become ill. I like to make sure that everything is within reach not only for the patient, but also the caregiver.
Different illnesses require different needs, among some of the items that I keep in my sick chest are gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, emesis bags, baby wipes, Clorox wipes. You can find a complete list of the items I like to keep in my Sick Chest.
This makes the process easier for all involved and makes the patient feel extra special knowing that all of their needs are being met.
