Who knew Baton Rouge had so many Gilmore Girls fans??? I certainly didn’t.
I was scrolling through my Instagram feed yesterday while sitting in the hospital with my mother. When I came across the Yelp post I was both excited and disappointed. I was excited because Gilmore Girls was and still is one of my favorite shows. Of course I would love to see this transformation!!! My daughter is now as big a fan (or bigger) than I. I was disappointed because I knew that there was no way I would be able to attend. There was no one that could stay at the hospital with my mother. I had finally come to accept the fact that I would not be able to attend.
Fast forward to now. I’M HERE!!! The 3 doctors that assessed my mother this morning sent her for a four hour treatment. I was so excited I made a right turn instead of left. I almost left when I saw the line. After thinking about it I decided it was worth the wait. I’m so glad I didn’t give up and leave because the line was long.
This event began at 7:00 this morning. It is currently 10:46 and people are constantly coming. The event was scheduled from 7-12, I hope they extend the hours. It only took an hour, it’s now 11:40 and I’m in my car.
I like coffee, but I LOVE Gilmore Girls. It’s worth the wait if I can get a “Luke’s Diner” coffee cup.
